Botanical Wonders Tour of the St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park

The July meeting of the Landscape and Nursery Association of Greater St. Louis (LNAGSL) features a "Botanical Wonders Tour of the St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park".

Get a horticultural tour of the St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park, guided by St. Louis Zoo & Forest Park Forever staff.  Learn about the challenges of growing plants amid animals and the world’s most destructive pest… tourists!  We will also tour the newly renovated planting beds and natural areas in Forest Park.

ITINERARY:

8:15 am: Meet at the St. Louis Zoo South Entrance (off Wells Drive).  Free parking is allowed along Wells or adjacent streets (spaces limited).  There is also a paid parking lot across from the entrance ($11.00 per vehicle).

8:30 am-9:45 am: Walking guided tour of the Zoo
10:15 am: Meet at the Forest Park Visitor and Education Center (off Grand Drive)--Free parking in the parking lot across from the Visitor Center.

10:30 am-12:30 pm: Walking guided tour of Forest Park areas (depending on participation, we may be split into groups to tour the following areas: Government Hill, Emerson Grand Basin, and other natural areas.

12:30 pm-3 pm: (LNAGSL members only) Lunch and Business Meeting near the Visitor Center—location to be determined (several shaded areas are available—please bring folding chairs if you wish).

COST (Cash or Check only):

LNAGSL members: $12 (tour only, additional $12 for lunch at meeting)

Non-LNAGSL members: $19 (tour only, no lunch meeting)

LUNCH FOR LNAGSL MEMBERS ($12.00): a lunch menu for boxed lunches will be mailed along with this invitation.  Beverages will be provided (water and soda).
